Sponsor an Animal
Support a rescued animal and contribute directly to its daily care and well-being.
Why sponsor
You can personally support a rescued animal in Bolivia
As a sponsor, you help animals at CIWY live happy, healthy lives, despite their traumatic pasts. Many volunteers form a special bond with specific animals and choose to continue sponsoring them from home. Whether you have visited the sanctuaries or not, consider supporting one of these magnificent animals. Every contribution helps.
How it works
-
Choose an animal
Many rescued animals cannot return to the wild because of injury or early dependence on humans. When release is not possible, CIWY provides lifelong care in spacious, natural enclosures. Pick the animal whose story moves you.
-
Choose a monthly amount
US$10, US$20 or US$40 a month. Your gift is pooled with other sponsors to cover your animal’s full care and its shared enclosure — Kusiy the jaguar, for example, costs about US$130 a month, funded by several sponsors together.
-
What you receive
An electronic sponsorship certificate, recognition on our website and in the annual report, and email updates with photos or videos of your animal twice a year — plus the knowledge that you support wildlife conservation first-hand.
The Animals
Every animal has its own story. Choose the one you want to support and read how it came to CIWY.

Kusiy Jaguar
Jaguars are a Near-Threatened species. Their pelt, teeth, and skulls are used as trophies and sold on the black market. Kusiy is one of the many victims of illegal wildlife trafficking. Poachers decided to keep Kusiy as a pet – they held him in a small yard alongside dogs and cats in terrible conditions. Neighbours notified the authorities, who rescued him and brought him to CIWY in 2015.
Our veterinarians diagnosed many medical problems due to lack of maternal care and poor living conditions. He suffered from skin infections caused by a flea infestation, and excessive scratching had removed all the skin from his tail. He also had intestinal parasites, and at some point, he received trauma to his right eye which almost led to blindness in that eye.
Sponsor Today
Choose a monthly amount and the animal you want to support. Your gift is pooled with other sponsors to cover the full care of your animal and the animals sharing its enclosure.
