Friends of Inti Wara Yassi

Friends of Inti Wara Yassi (FIWY) is the international organisation that supports Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi’s work. It does so by providing administrative support, managing international fundraising, creating international awareness about CIWY’s work and establishing alliances with other organisations. FIWY also organises events for former and future volunteers in the United Kingdom and Australia.

FIWY United Kingdom became the first international branch of CIWY in 2008, with Dr. Jane Goodall as its Patron. FIWY is registered as a charity in England and Wales (charity number 1124355). You can view its financial reports on the website of the Charity Commission for England and Wales.

FIWY Australia became registered as a charity in Australia’s Register of Environmental Organisations in 2018, with ABN 93433783701.

“When the last tree is cut, the last fish is caught, and the last river is polluted; when to breathe the air is sickening, you will realise, too late, that wealth is not in bank accounts and that you can’t eat money.” — Native American Saying
