Sparkles’s Story

Sparkles is a capuchin monkey who came to Machía in 2009. Someone notified us that an order would arrive; we thought it was a donation from someone, but we were surprised to find a little monkey hidden in the corner of the cardboard box. It was a long journey and who knows what this little girl went through, but at CIWY she got a second chance. Sparkles is still a shy and insecure monkey, but luckily today she has the company of Jack, a monkey who was moved from Clinic to Sky and who instantly created a deep bond with Sparkles. Now she is more confident and no longer has so much trouble socializing with other monkeys.
