Community Connections
CIWY believes that educating and inspiring young people is essential to protecting wildlife and the natural environment.
Staff and volunteers regularly attend classes in local primary schools, assisting teachers in English, science and other classes. This helps CIWY build positive relationships with local communities while introducing young people to its work and the importance of protecting wildlife and the environment.
Your support helps CIWY build relationships with communities and bring environmental education to more people.

Environmental Understanding
CIWY runs targeted educational workshops within schools and at community events to inspire the protection of Bolivia’s wildlife and biodiversity.
Activities have included reforestation days with local college students, plant germination workshops in primary schools and events at local fairs for Día del Jaguar, often in collaboration with organisations such as WWF Bolivia.
These activities help people understand issues including wildlife trafficking and habitat destruction, while connecting environmental knowledge with practical action to protect animals and ecosystems.
Your donations help CIWY reach wider audiences with environmental education programmes that inspire future generations to protect and restore nature.

Creative Educational Resources
CIWY also uses creative approaches to make environmental education engaging and accessible.
Through the Artist in Residence programme and the initiative of volunteers, CIWY has developed creative educational materials including exhibitions, music, Pokémon cards and children’s books. These resources are used in CIWY’s own activities and distributed more widely to educate, engage and inspire.
Support CIWY’s environmental education work and help us find creative ways to connect people with wildlife and conservation.
